Get The Same Protection As Professional Athletes Do & Prevent The Risk Of Traumatic Brain Injury
When it comes to concussions, even major sporting organizations in Australia may not fully understand the situation. While many prioritize a quick return to sports after injuries like ankle or shoulder issues, a more cautious approach is crucial when dealing with brain injuries. Concussions are a type of mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and while symptoms often resolve within 3-5 days, full neurological recovery takes 21-28 days. This means an additional 3 weeks (on average) of vulnerability to further injury. Without data, it's challenging to gauge the rate of brain healing during this critical period.

CONCUSSION BASELINES
A concussion is a brain injury caused by acceleration or deceleration of the brain within the skull following a significant impact to the head or elsewhere on the body. The impact causes a biochemical imbalance within the brain cells, resulting in decreased blood flow and temporary energy deficits within the brain.
Symptoms may include loss of consciousness, headache, pressure in the head, neck pain, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, or balance problems, among others.

During the early stage following injury, a period of relative symptom limited physical and cognitive rest is recommended. Research suggests 24 to 48 hours, after this, you have to take action. Following a short period of rest, the International Olympic Committee's Consensus Statement on Concussion in Sport (2016) recommends a gradual increase in mental and physical activity by a licensed healthcare practitioner trained in concussion management.
The research also overwhelmingly supports one crucial notion:
"The number one predictor of a good recovery is the time taken to see a qualified and competent concussion specialist."

Our supplementation range is designed to protect your brain by increasing brain repair, boosting brain energy, reducing inflammation and supporting natural circadian rhythms. These products are best taken during the season and before an injury occurs as an insurance policy. Our post injury diet is designed by experts as guide to reduce foods that promote inflammation and increase the foods that support brain function and healing. This will include a sample meal plan that is integrated into a smart phone app. Want to read more about how nutrition can support the brain during the recovery from concussion? "After suffering a concussion, I was genuinely unsure how to go about treating it.That was before coming across the specialised concussion management at Strength Systems. Working with Juy has given me 100% confidence in my brain again, and if I happen to suffer another concussion, I know I'll be in the best position possible to manage it."
"I have sustained several concussions whilst playing sport. Until my last concussion I had taken a wait and see approach, which resulted in symptoms for several weeks. After completing a concussion program with Strength Systems, I was symptom free again in less than a week. The program covered all bases and was very thorough. I would highly recommend Strength Systems' concussion program to anyone that has suffered one."
"Completing a pre-season baseline test gives me confidence that I can attack the footy with my head down and know that if an injury does occur, I will be able to return to my brain to its health state."
