Frequently Asked Questions

How is the program personalised to me?

After you sign up, we’ll review your performance testing data, goals, injury history (if any), and available training set up. Your program is then written specifically for you — not copied and pasted from a template. It evolves as you progress.

What if I don’t have access to a full gym?

No stress — we can work with whatever you’ve got.

Whether you train in a commercial gym, home gym, or garage setup, we’ll tailor your program to your equipment.

We’ve coached athletes with just a kettlebell, and others with full access.

How does my program change?

Your program will run for 5 weeks and will be adapted each week to follow our periodisation system. After 5 weeks, we change the program and you move onto the next one. With your feedback and the change in season, we ensure the program is well fitted to where you are and what your season is providing you.

Can I get feedback on my technique?

Absolutely. You’ll be able to send videos of your lifts, drills, or running mechanics each week. Your coach will review them and provide detailed coaching cues via video or voice message so you can improve safely and efficiently.

Is this suitable if I’m coming back from injury?

Yes — our team includes physiotherapists and rehab specialists. If you’ve been cleared to return to training, we’ll design your program to build you back up safely while progressing your strength, control, and confidence. Our Sports Physiotherapy staff have specialist knowledge of sport to adapt training around any injuries and to incorporate injury risk reduction techniques into your training.

What else can I expect training with Pivot Sports Performance?

Wellness and load monitoring to reduce levels of fatigue, and improve psychological readiness for training/competition and overall emotional state. Using this information, training programs are adjusted ongoing to ensure optimal performance, reduced risk of injury, optimal hormonal functioning and recovery. We have our own Recovery Centre and Protocols in place where we use the latest recovery technology available, including ice baths; blood flow restriction devices; leg, hip and arm compression garments; theraguns; infrared sauna; nutrition advice and dietician involvement; & an educational document.
