The Trinity of Speed Development

1. Power To Weight Ratio

Without the ability to generate high levels of force relative to body weight, there is no speed. That's simple physics. When an athlete can produce more force per kg of body weight relative to key gym movements, there is a direct transfer onto the field of play.

Weak athletes can never be fast.

2. Sprinting Technique

Acceleration & Max Velocity Technique Running mechanics are essential for accelerating and holding top speed, yet they are often unique to each individual's own characteristics. Addressing certain aspects of technique can improve the athlete's ability to bursting out of a pack over 3-5 steps, or to hold their quickest speed for longer.

Unlike other speed programs that only train speed, our speed & agility program is streamlined with our Athlete Performance Program (APP). The APP improves strength and power (trinity one), teaches excellent running technique (trinity two), and provides a consistent exposure to sprinting (trinity three). By spending time training in the gym and on the field, we bring together the results of the hard work while minimising the risk of soft tissue injuries.
